DJ Profile: Alexandra Simion

As an avid music lover I decided to seek out opportunities to get involved with non-commercial community radio, and what better way than right on campus, with CIUT. My tenure at the station began in 2006 as part of the work-study program at University of Toronto and soon morphed into volunteering and getting my own on-air timeslot on Fridays. Currently I have graduated from U of T with a Hon. BSc. in Mathematics and Statistics, and intend to keep the show going strong well past my student years.

Favorite Music: Mostly indie rock with a blend of folk and electronic as well. Some of my recent favourites are: Editors, Mother Mother, The Beauties, White Lies, Franz Ferdinand, The Walkmen, The Kooks, Art Brut, The Black Angels, Voxtrot
